Shunt surgery

They have decided to do the shunt surgery today around noon. Autumn's apnea episodes started occuring more frequently and last night she had a bad night. She stopped breathing and stimulating her did not work so they had to bag her for the first time. James said she stopped breathing for over a minute. They think the shunt surgery will help relieve some pressure on her brain and help with the apnea. If it does not seem to work though then they will have to do a decompression surgery but they are going to try the shunt first. After James called me this morning to tell me about the surgery as soon as he got off the phone they had to bag her again so the episodes are getting worse and a lot more frequent. Please keep her in your prayers today while she is going through another surgery. I will probably be at the hospital most of the day and will post on how she did later this evening or tonight.
